Return to Sender Palimpsest 3, Relational Artwork and Installation.
This work was made with 100 households.
Each house was delivered an unfired house brick and asked to do what they wanted with it overnight. A pick up time was arranged and many residents hand delivered their brick/artwork to me, many decided to stay anonymous.
The installation was made using each house brick representing each house in the two streets. The site of the exhibition was in a disused sultana drying warehouse, obsolete sultanas were used to pave the streets. This became a symbolic gesture to the towns once reliant on the industry.
